Yeah very neat and faaast, but yeah like with big 3D games I hope there's an option to turn off the motion blur. The chase sequence at 1:56 lasting like 15 seconds definitely needs something more to it, as is it's basically just a cutscene which can be fine, but it's a boring one at that.
After playing through it, I thought it was great when it was fast. The fast sections were my favorite, So my least favorite parts were when there was slow platforming. I suggest making Sonic easier to slow down so the platforming is easier to manage. But I had a LOT of fun speeding through the levels at high speed.
