Thanks in advance
I mean, no matter what engine you choose, you’re going to have to dabble in coding.but it has that memory issue thing, and coding is not my forte
Thanks man, when i get game maker studios i'll give it a look at itI mean, no matter what engine you choose, you’re going to have to dabble in coding.
You could try messing around in OpenSurge.
Pros:
Cons:
- Absolutely FREE
- The core gameplay is already completed, fleshed out, and glitch free (as far as I can tell.)
- Ability to add custom assets.
- Custom scripting language and a helpful wiki.
I personally use Sonic MAX on Game Maker Studio.
- May or may not be as flexible as you want.
- Steep learning curve if you want to add your own assets.
Pros:
Cons:
- Incredibly flexible, since it’s in Game Maker. If you can code, you can do just about anything!
- Most of the core gameplay, namely the physics, is complete and fleshed out.
- Some of the gimmicks need some work.
- The engine needs a little work to get it working out of the box.
- Requires Game Maker Studio, which is a paid product.
- Scattered to nonexistent documentation makes working with Sonic MAX a bit daunting.
Game Maker Studio will also be the engine for sonic fangamesI mean, no matter what engine you choose, you’re going to have to dabble in coding.
