Project Overview
EDIT - Oct. 1st - Version "BugFix2" made available!
I have decided to go back and add some changes and fixes for this version.
I am really sorry for constantly changing things but, seeing how this is my first game, I am putting my all into it.
- Rebalanced Speed-levels, forced tutorial screen before entering gameplay for first time, Fixing a nasty bug.
ZUPS! - Ziemlich Unbekanntes Puzzle-Spiel
(Rather unknown Puzzlegame, can be read as "z-Oops" or "z-UP-s")
Welcome to my attempt at making a simple game for my first ever project.
I know some people might be disapointed that this isn't a sonic game but hey,
one of the characters in this project started as a red tails recolor... so there's that.
"Zups!" is a combination of some of my favourite puzzle games.
Mainly I have been inspired from Columns, Magical Drop
and the Puzzle League (Panel-de-Pon) Series to make this game.
My goal with this game is to prove to myself, that I can create a game all on my own...
while still having a job on the side and enough motivation and energy to get things done after work.
One day, Daniel, a tinkering Fox-Bat in Training wanted to show of his machine, but it ended up malfunctioning.
Now all the mana in the surrounding area has been encapsulated inside ORBs that need to be broken.
Help Ko'An, Daniel and a small devil, to solve the puzzles and free the mana.
This demo will feature:
- a "ADVENTURE" mode. (available in easy and hard difficulty)
Go through 5 stages and keep clearing horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines until you reach the GOAL-Line.
- a "TIME TRIAL" mode
How high can you get your score within 2 or 5 minutes?
key features:
-original the characters
-original the story
-original the artwork and sprites
-original the gameplay (o.k. maybe not that original...)
- CREDITS -
Programs used:
Engine: GameMaker Studio 1.4 (Professional Edition)
Art: FireAlpaca, PhotoImpact and the Sprite Editor of GameMaker Studio
Music and SFK: FL Studio 12 / 20
Fonts Used: (placeholders for now)
"Charge" by KineticPlasma Fonts
"Xolonium" by Severin Meyer
"Arial" by Monotype Corporation
If you've actually read through all of this... thanks! - if not... eh that's o.k.
Please give this game a try and see if you like it.
Feedback is very appreciated.
